This afternoon i attempted to cycle from Kendal to Shap summit. Shap summit is fifteen miles from Kendal and over ten of those miles are all up hill. I managed to do thirteen miles before the fog was so bad i had to turn back. Here are some photo's.
This is the exact point that i turned around as visibility was down to less than thirty metres in front of me and as i looked behind it wasn't any better, so i gunned back down as quick as possible before potentially getting stranded or hit by vehicles travelling between forty and sixty mph. If you look at the photo, on the left over that wall you would normally see a huge valley with breath taking views but no cigar today.
